"Finally found the best budget app for our family! The expense tracking features are clean and intuitive. Everyone can easily track their spending."
How Koru Works
Three simple steps to financial harmony.
Create Your Family
Sign in with Apple or Google. Name your household — like "The Millers" — and you're set up in seconds.
Invite Members
Send an email invite to your partner or family. They join instantly with their own role — Admin or Member.
Track Together
Log expenses, add income sources, set category budgets, and watch your financial health score climb.
Everything your family needs
Simple tools that work for the whole household — no spreadsheets required.
Connect Your Family
Name your household, choose an icon, and invite members by email. Each person gets their own role — Owner, Admin, or Member. In the screenshot, The Millers are on the Premium Plan with Andrew as Admin and Mary as Member.
Your Expenses at a Glance
See recent transactions and category spending cards on one screen. Each category shows how much you've spent vs. your limit — Rent $2K of $2.4K, Coffee $5 of $100, and so on.
Add Expenses in Seconds
Tap +, enter the amount, add a description like "Netflix", pick a category like "Fun". Turn on recurring monthly and choose the day — it logs itself every month.
See Every Transaction in a Category
Tap into any category to see the full list of transactions — who spent what and when. The progress bar turns red when you go over budget. Here, Utilities is overspent at 174% — $1.2K spent against a $700 limit.
Track All Your Income
Add sources like Salary and Rent. See total income this month with a breakdown of expected, received, and pending. Recent entries show each payment as it lands.
Set It and Forget It
Tap any income source to manage recurring entries. Set repeat dates — like rent on the 8th and 6th of each month — and Koru logs them automatically.
Plan Your Monthly Budget
Set a total monthly budget — like $3,700 — then allocate it across your categories. Travel gets $200, Pet $100, Personal $2,700, Utilities $700. The allocation bar fills up as you assign, so you can see exactly how much is left to distribute.
Your Financial Health Score
Net position, savings rate, logging streak, and a Health Score from 0-100 that grades your financial wellness. The donut chart breaks spending down by category so you see where your money actually went.
Alerts That Keep You on Track
Budget warnings at 90% and over-budget alerts. Notifications when your partner logs expenses or income. A daily reminder to log today's spending, and a monthly reset summary on the 1st.
What families are saying
Real reviews from households who've made the switch.
"Game changer for family budgeting! We tried many apps before, but Koru is the best for keeping our household finances in order."
"Perfect budget app for couples! Love how easy it is to track income and expenses. The bill tracker is exactly what we needed."
